Independedent Architect providing design and architectural consulting services. Designed the remodel of the Crystal Market in Woodland Hills. Provided consulting services to Kanner Architects for the remodel of the Sunset/Vine Tower, Lafayette Park Gymnasium and several other projects. Produced construction documents for the Enterprise Park Pool Building for Frank R. Webb Architects and the Moses Residence Remodel for Enrico Como, Designer. Also produced construction documents for eighteen tenant improvement projects at the SCAN Healthcare offices in Long Beach, California, designed by Manuel Urquiza.

Joined the staff of Frank Webb Architects as a Senior Project Architect and manager of the Woodland Hills branch office. Mr. Dietel completed a major seismic strengthening and remodeling project of Mudd Hall of Philosophy on the campus of the University of Southern California. Oversaw the production of various remodeling projects for Kaiser Permanente including the Simi Valley Pharmacy expansion, Balboa Plaza Continuing Care, Lancaster Physical Therapy, Lancaster Infusion Clinic and Santa Clarita Outpatient Procedure Suite. Completed the design and production of several remodeling projects at the Woodland Hills Kaiser Hospital including OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Hydrotherapy, Pathology, Podiatry and the Emergency Room Nurse Station.

Director of Operations responsible for personnel, accounting and production. Oversaw the activities of the architects assigned to Construction Administration services on projects such as custom residences, a community center, a recreation center and several retail stores. Also served as the Project Manager for the 62,000 S.F. Riverside County Credit Union Building and a 12-classroom building for Nevin Avenue Elementary school. Project Manager for the $27,500,000 West Los Angeles Municipal Courthouse and the adjacent $5,000,000 parking structure. Director of CAD Operations

Advanced from Staff Architect to Principal while serving as the Project Architect for numerous major projects including “The Park”, a $10 million office complex in downtown Los Angeles; a $13 million computer operations center for Sanwa Bank in Monterey Park; a $26 million office building for the Hewlett-Packard Company in Nort Hollywood; and the $50 million Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Served as the Director of Architectural Production for the Tom Bradley Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, a joint venture with Periera Associates.Worked on several major detention facilities including the Ventura County Government Complex (Staff Architect), the Santa Clara Hall of Administration (Construction Administration Architect for the final fifteen months of construction), the West County Justice Center in Contra Costa County (Project Architect), and the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Operations Center (Assistant Project Manager).
